WSU vs UD Comparison
Even though I attend
I noticed that nobody has really provided an objective comparison of the two basketball programs. During my 2007 winter vacation from OSU, I attended 4 Dayton Flyer games and 3 Wright State Raider games. So I thought that I was in a relatively unique position to provide an honest comparison of the programs:

Good job on your comparison, UD made the NCAA tourney 3 times in the last 10 years however, 2000 2003 and 2004.
Also in the team sucess catagory mention the elite 8 in ‘84, two NIT championships in the 60’s when it was a much bigger deal (sometimes teams would turn down an NCAA invite to play in the NIT). Finally I believe in the decade of the 50’s UD won more games than any other prohram.

I would agree with Mike that UD has had greater success history, but WSU is an up-and-coming program

Hey Mikey boy. Dayton has had 150 years to achieve that success. WSU was founded in 1967 and already is seeing success on a Division 1 level. I agree with Sam that WSU is up and coming. Watch. And don’t be so ignorant.

Under the success category, don’t forget to include WSU’s division II national championship. Granted it was division II but a national championship at any level is nothing to sneeze at.
